Swapping axles

Postby dan14sweeney » Thu Jul 08, 2010 11:14 pm

Well I am going to go get a full width high pinion dana 44 tomorrow to replace my EB 44. Contemplating chopping up the calmini kit and switching to coil springs then mimicking the front in the rear as well. The coilovers are great however i think one took a little more abuse then it wanted in moab and is slightly bent? If any one has suggestions on what i should do feel free to chime in.

I really like the coil springs with adjustable buckets. More durable. Lots of people have issues with the coil overs. I dont think they are meant for daily use.

Sure. Do you want to keep the radius arms and just go coils? Not sure how much room there is for coil mounts with those current mounts.

I would like to however if a different arm setup would work better I am all for that. Really I would like to salvage as much of the calmini kit as possible. I really have no idea where to start so Anything helps

3 link would make the links easier to mount.

This setup works really good.

You could keep your calmini crossmembers and lower links. Just add an upper and redesign the track bar.
