To weld or not to weld SLIDERS

Welding, cutting and fab work required. Bumpers, sliders, not simple bolt ons.

To weld or not to weld SLIDERS

I was wondering what the general consensus is for attaching custom sliders to the truck would be?

1. Weld
2. Bolt on

I belive if I chose option 2, I would need to add sleeves to the frame to prevent crushing of the frame box when tightening bolts down (as well as the repetitive tightening they would require when the frame slightly crushes when used).

i think welding will always be a better option than bolting, in terms of strength and longevity. the only disadvantage to welding them is that they're not as easily removed.

I welded mine. I just recently welded Marcus' d40. The huge wrap around tabs got in the way of the lower links. :sawzall

The welded seem so much stronger. The oem holes are only on the outer shell of the tube.

Thank you everyone! Welding would be easier for me, as I don't have to "sleeve" my frame if I do the bolt-on method!
