engine swap?

hey guys im back, took a break for a while cause i had no money and no job so no reason to tease myself with upgrades. but now i am trying to decide what to do as far as engines to put in my 1989 pathy 3.0 v6 with a manual tranny that has 213,XXX miles. i have put a lot of work into this truck already as most of you know and the only major thing left to do is to give it a decent engine.
Question 1:
what nissan engines Year, make, model, bolt up to my transmission other than my 3.0 tbi if any?
Question 2:
what engines are available or wise to put in using a adapter for the transmission to engine if any?
Question 3:
Barry, i would really like to know how your 3.3 build is going and would contemplate using that setup if the details were fine enough to copy. Can you post a detailed parts list, and let me know what you think about all this stuff. i want a cool strong reliable engine that i can fully depend and rely on, that will complete my truck.

My 3.3 wil be going in ASAP. My pathy has trouble maintaining 70mph with the CC loaded down with 3 people and tools etc. Once it warms up that I need to use the AC it will be worse.

Once the heads are cleaned up its going in. Hopefully this month. I think I have all the parts. I have the oil pump sorted just working on the v42 alt. ON my 4th mock up bracket.

it is possible to bolt up any other nissan engine to my tranny?

Only VG motors work with your trans AFAIK, I am basically just replacing the block and pistons. All the rest can be reused. I am changing the oil pump to relocate the filter but its not required.

I would suggest a vg30e upgrade for you. The vg30i has little room for upgrades and is more expensive to fix.

The cheapest solution would be cams.

Ryan is doing a vg30i to vg30e swap. Plus adding the complete vg30e 300zx intake. You could do just the normal truck intake.

what is trans AFAIK?
my engine is the throttle body vg motor which is what VG30e or something else?
is it possible to combine what ryan is doing plus what you are doing? what about adding the 3.3's turbo charger some how is that something that can be added to what you are doing fairly easily?
...or am i way off because honestly i have never torn an engine apart yet and im new at everything that has to do with engines so ya gotta help me. I will learn though like i did with the suspension, you know i did that...

You have the VG30I.

Just swap in a VG33 motor, swap to VG33 Harness or Swap to VG30 harness and injectors. or do what Alex said.

Cuong has what you need for sale. An ecu, harness and most of the engine.
