Sounds good. I am tempted to buy the AC ones.

How was the installation of the AC gears? Straight forward?

manual tcases are just as simple as manual transmissions when it comes to rebuilds. i've never opened up a TX10 but i can't imagine it to be very difficult. just have some inner/out snap ring pliers, and a press would probably come in handy.

The gear install is very straight forward and hardly any difference like the Calmini's. give me your email and I can send you the AC gear install instructions for a heads up if you are interested. Things you need are grinder, snap ring pliers, and a press makes removing and install the bearings cake.

Wow wierd instructions. Why make a gasket when OEM uses grey sealant. Its available at AZ. I hate that ugly orange stuff.

Barry, the gasket is thick for a reason. the gasket is used to space out the face/cover plate to prevent the bearing/gear assembly from binding. I'll post some old pictures if I can dig the out on the internet....

hmm... can't find my photos. Anyhow, the AC gears reuses the stock bearings and the gear itself is bigger causing it to protrude further out IIRC hence the need for the makeshift spacer.

Very odd. I wonder why the calmini gears dont need a spacer.
